Retro-reflecting Devices Homologation

Unlike illuminating devices, the retro-reflecting devices do not dispose of any proper light source.

In fact, the approval retro-reflectors according to ECE R3 regulation or Taiwan directive no. 41, 41-1, have to be submitted to colorimetric and photometric tests (CIL evaluation at 20' and 1° 30'), as well as to test the thermal resistance, immersion, resistance to water/moisture/fuel/oils, impact and corrosion. Thanks to our photometric tunnel of 30.48 meter length (100 ft), FAKT is able to satisfy also the U.S. requests for measurements at 12 minutes for the above distance.

In a similar way, for the homologation of warning triangles, we offer the complete set of tests, from the usual colorimetric and photometric tests, up to the chemical/environmental/geometric tests, e.g. the verification of the distance to the ground, the mechanical solidity, the stability to the wind, ...

This type of test is completed by the tests on crowded signalling panels (according to the german national law StVZO TA16a, TA18b) and signalling plates (according to the ECE R69, R70, R104 regulation).

The above tests are similar to the previous ones, completed in addition by tests of resistance to the luminous radiations.
